Dynamics 365 Project Operations: Notify users when approval sets finish processing Beta
Data as of 2 hours ago (26 October 2026)
Description
When an approval set finishes processing, the person who started it receives an in-app notification built on the existing long-running-process (No More Wait) framework, and they see only notifications for the operations they triggered. On success, a brief pop-up reports that the approval set completed, shows the approval set name, and provides a deep link to the record, and the notification stays in the notifications pane until you clear it. When one or more approvals in the set fail, the notification reports that the set completed with failures, shows the failure reason, and links directly to the failing record; multiple failures appear as separate notifications. The feature covers completion notifications only: it does not add processing-started notifications, sends in-app notifications only (no email or Teams), and does not include a retry or remediation workflow. How to enable: This will be added to the existing list titled Select jobs for notification. Add approvals to that (or leave it entirely blank) to enable these notifications.
