Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): Copilot Chat - Session Persistence Enhancement Beta
Data as of 2 hours ago (26 October 2026)
This item was no longer present in the roadmap feed as of 4 October 2026. Microsoft removes entries for several reasons — cancelled, merged into another entry, or reorganised — and the feed does not say which.
Description
This feature ensures that conversations are preserved even when users navigate away from a session. As soon as a prompt is submitted, an entry is immediately created in the navigation pane’s session history. This allows users to leave the session and return later just as if they had never left. The update enhances continuity and reliability, making it easier to navigate without losing progress. Updated September 18, 2026: We are cancelling this Roadmap item at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Change history
Added to the roadmap 14 August 2025. Tracked here since 1 September 2026. Earliest target we recorded: December 2025 (since tracked — Microsoft may have moved it before we started watching).
